The Company:
My client a Global Consulting Firm is seeking to hire a Fund Accountant Specialist to join their growing team.
The Role:
My client offers excellent opportunities to grow within the company along with a fantastic company culture. Your day to day will encompass such things as:
Analysis and valuation of financial instruments and derivatives relating to their fair value as well as the quantification of their risk
Analysis of hedge accounting strategies, review of the requirements to apply hedge accounting and assessment of hedge effectiveness
Understand the theoretical and technical nature of all major investment types and hedge accounting strategies
Management of accounting policies and procedures in the context of financial instruments for clients in the investment management, leasing, insurance, banking and retail sectors
Planning of engagements - timing, staffing and structure
Liaising closely with clients and audit teams in relation to planning and closing meetings, and discussing business developments generally
Requirements:
1-3 years’ experience in a Fund Accountancy role with experience in Hedge funds
Experience with accounting for derivatives and hedge accounting strategies - cash flow hedge, fair value hedge and net investment hedge
Experience with OTC Products used to hedge main market risks
Calculation of XVA Adjustments (CVA/DVA/FVA)
Experience with pricing software’s (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Superderivatives)
IFRS knowledge |
