Job Title: Compliance and Internal Audit Manager
Location: Isle of Man
Position Type: Full Time

Description:
Our client requires a Compliance and Internal Audit Manager to ensure the Company is fully compliant with relevant legislation and regulation and provide ongoing quality assurance of systems and processes through structured a structured programme of reviews.
To act in accordance with Rule 8.18 Of the Financial Services Rule Book 2008, as Compliance Manager for the group, with responsibility for overseeing the Company's compliance with regulatory requirements including those relating to money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism.

Key tasks and responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all legislation, regulation and applicable codes of practice in the markets in which we operate;
Ensure the registers required by rules 8.8, 8.14 And 8.29 (Conflicts of Interest, Register of all Breaches and the Complaints Register) are maintained;
Provide a programme of comprehensive compliance monitoring on a regular basis to ensure the adequacy and efficiency of measures and procedures which are in place to manage compliance with regulatory requirements;
Independently raise awareness to management, and the Board if required, on any deficiencies in the group's compliance with its regulatory obligations and ensure appropriate action is taken to address issues raised;
Act as Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer;
Arrange compliance training, to include an induction for new staff on compliance related matters and anti-money laundering requirements and refresher training for existing staff as required:
Assist with compliance matters and enquiries from external advisors or regulators;
Write and keep up to date all compliance procedures for the group;
Provide compliance reports to the Board on a quarterly basis, or more frequently if required;
Act as point of reference for Data Protection queries;
Review internal control framework documentation
To plan, organise and carry out the internal audit function including the preparation of an audit plan, which ensures that all major risks of the group are identified and reviewed on an annual basis;
To make recommendations on systems and procedures, and monitor management's response and implementation;
Provide both management and the audit committee with an opinion on the internal controls within the Group;




Required Skills: Hold a relevant professional qualification or a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
At least 5 years management experience in finance sector
Up to date working knowledge of international financial risk and regulatory standards
Systematic work approach and attention to detail
Good communication skills
