Multinational Company with HQ in Dublin North and presence in 26 countries is currently sourcing for an European VAT Operations Manager.

It is a new exciting permanent opportunity that showed up as a result of centralisation European Vat function in Dublin.
Working closely with Head of Global Tax and Vat based outside Ireland and head of Finance you will be responsible for:

• Management and further development of European VAT Operations team
• Ensure VAT Compliance services for European Entities of the Company.
• Head and develop newly established VAT Enterprise services for European internal clients arm of the company
• Ensure resolution of open VAT audit issues
• Identify and deliver on opportunities to reduce VAT cash flow and outlays for the business.
• Manage various ongoing VAT related projects.
• Support European VAT audits in conjunction with the Corporate Tax Team. Increase the level of control/ VAT reconciliations and introduce self audit initiatives.
• Process improvement and standardization of the VAT compliance process (f.e. quality standardized processes that can be leveraged across the European region.)
• Manage and optimize the VAT related Cash Flow
• Develop and agree - on a periodical basis - service level agreement and key performance indicators with the stakeholders.

This is a great permanent opportunity to take the ownership of the whole European VAT function and successfully launch VAT client services function

A minimum of 5 years proven experience in Multinational VAT is essential for this role.
This role requires very good people management skills (team of 3-5+), solid knowledge of EU VAT directive abd VAT compliance as well as knowledge of ERP system like Oracle or SAP.
Excellent communication skills as well as client relationship skills are a must in this role.
Qualification in Taxation or Accountancy is preferred.
Candidates with Degree level qualification will be considered as well once they have great experience.
