Job Title: Credit Analyst - Manager
Location: Dublin

Description:

We currently have an opportunity for a Credit Risk Manager with a leading financial institution. The client is looking for a candidate with significant experience within credit risk in commercial/corporate banking.

This is a contract role initially but could well lead to longer term opportunities. The client will provide an excellent salary and benefits.

Description of Role:

A Commercial Credit Manager is primarily responsible for:


• Management of a portfolio of commercial client accounts, with an emphasis on managing the companies risk and maximising the value of the existing portfolio;


• Early identification of arrears accounts and proactive arrears management of assigned portfolio;


• Timely response/reaction to movements (adverse or otherwise) in the loan book and taking actions to mitigate same;


• Formulating repayment strategies/loan restructures for problem cases (for approval by Commercial Underwriting) and follow through to ensure successful implementation of same;


• Ensure loan book is reviewed at intervals as determined by Commercial Underwriting and that grade profile is actively managed, with all loan reviews kept up to date for assigned portfolio;


• Effective follow up on client action plans, agreed with Commercial Underwriting;


• Assessment of new loans (limited to risk management purposes only) and loan re-structures;


• Ensure team delivers thorough research of all credit proposals and presentation of these credits to Underwriting in a manner which is clear, concise and addresses the risk issues concerned;


• Ensure team compliance with internal operating procedures to maintain asset quality;


• Coaching, motivating and managing team members to ensure daily tasks are completed within service level agreements and to a consistently high standard;


• Deliver a positive contribution to team performance, culture & morale.
