| Insurance Regulatory Capital is seeking to recruit a Credit Analyst to contribute to the credit analysis process for potential insurance subordinated debt issuers. This role is core to the company's competency and activities. The Analyst will work closely with the credit and origination teams and will be involved in bringing the investment case to the Credit Committee. The role will report directly to the Chief Investment Officer. |

Principal responsibilities:
Evaluate the pipeline of potential insurance subordinated debt issuers
Carry out detailed credit analysis of insurance companies seeking to issue subordinated debt
Conduct background research on insurance sectors and markets
Conduct background research on traded insurance subordinated debt markets and trends
Author detailed credit reports with recommendations for the Credit Committee
Contribute to the pricing recommendations to the Credit Committee
Participate in the monitoring of assets in the portfolio
Analyse and report on portfolio performance

| Experience: |
Skills and Experience:
Background in qualitative and quantitative financial research
Solid understanding of insurance company operations and balance sheets
Experience with financial institutions’ capital structure and their associated regulatory environments
Financial modelling experience would be a plus
Exposure to mid-caps would also be a plus
Excellent written communication skills
