Reinsurance Technician
Reinsurance technician to work as a member of a team that is resonsible for reinsurance contracts. These contracts are managed through interpretation of the financial implications of the contracts, ensuring appropriate recognition of related income and costs. The company uses a reinsurance system and requires assistance in processing quarterly cession statements.
Act as a point of contact relating to contract acceptance for all business providers. Organisation and coordination of all new and renewal contracts incepting to the Group companies that includes liaising with business partners and senior management and documenting all business incepting. Review of all contract documentation including the terms and conditions and risk transfer analysis for all Group entities. Analysis of all contracts for Board Reports for senior management. Responsibility for preparing and delivering quarterly underwriting results. Liaising with cedants to arrange timely receipt of cession statements, bordereau and statements of account. Reviewing cession data back to contract terms and conditions. Processing quarterly cession data including premium, claims, commission and reserves in the reinsurance system. Reviewing report output and completing reconciliations to ensure that the data has been correctly processed. Analysing the results and preparing commentaries for reporting to Chief Underwriter |
