Job Title: Finance Manager / Business Partner - Projects
Location: Dublin
Position Type: Full Time

Remuneration: 60000-70000

Description:
Are you an experienced Finance Manager / Project Accountant (systems implementations) looking for a varied finance role covering improving efficiencies, systems implementation and finance projects within a national authority? The role has dual aspects; one as Business Partner and the other as systems accountant.

What you will be doing:

The role will play a key role in the development of a key project Finance function, providing valuable insights to areas for improvement and leading on projects. In addition to overseeing Capital Investment funding with key partners.

Financial Analysis

Work effectively as a ‘finance business partner’, building strong relationships across the organisation, operating in a flexible and collaborative manner
Quickly interpret data, order and assess its value, and then present the findings to the relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise way;
Perform clever and robust analytics, providing valuable business insights to areas for performance improvement and generally contributing to capacity building in the team;
Support the ongoing optimisation of business processes with emphasis on effectiveness, efficiency, agility and scalability;
Drive improvements in financial reporting, key performance indicators and financial analysis; and
Ensure timely and accurate completion of the annual budgets, forecasts and multi-year financial projections.

Financial Projects

Lead/support a pipeline of anticipated
Lead/support the orderly introduction of other system developments, ensuring that the financial management implications are well understood and addressed so that implementations progress smoothly and efficiently, in a controlled manner

Required Skills: Strong organisational and administrative skills (MS Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint in particular). Agresso experience advantageous;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Strong analytical ability, with a logical approach to problem solving and sound judgement;
Ability to reach and stand over well informed opinions;
Adaptable, enthusiastic and a continuous learner who is an expert problem-solver;
Dynamic, with a natural focus on the ‘big picture’, combined with strong attention to detail;
Ability to work effectively on own initiative, as part of a team and as leader of a group; and
Proactive, with a ‘can-do’ approach and the ability to organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
Required Education: A recognised accounting qualification, with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience;
