Supervision Manager ‑ Financial Conduct
A dynamic Financial Services organisation based in Dublin are seeking an experienced Supervision Manager to join their Financial Conduct team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of experienced supervisors and specialists to assess and supervise conduct risk and market surveillance in the Market Securities Directorate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and development of the team through effective direction, delegation, performance management and coaching to ensure all staff members can achieve the required performance standards and meet their own job enrichment/development objectives
• Develop and deliver the supervisory and inspection approach for market conduct and market surveillance whilst ensuring that this approach makes the most efficient use of data and related technologies
• Apply a risk based approach to supervisory engagement with a focus on risk assessment and mitigation, investor protection, legislative compliance and enforcement
• Communicate effectively and persuasively to establish effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Key Skills/Qualifications:
• 10 years’ + professional experience in roles in Financial Services including knowledge of conduct related issues
• Educated to degree level in a relevant field
• Strong understanding of financial markets, complex financial instruments and related business models
• Significant understanding of key risk drivers, supervisory approaches, effective risk mitigation and sector business models
• Understanding of sectoral legislation as it pertains to conduct and market supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
