About my Client
My client, a long established Financial Services provider is currently seeking to hire a Compliance Manager for the Management Company business, which provides ManCo services to their own proprietary funds. A company with an impressive heritage, excellent reputation for not only work/life balance, but also one with an extremely capable Executive Management team who have well defined plans for team and company growth.
About the Role
This is a new hire, arising due to organic growth of the business.
Reporting to the Group Chief Compliance Officer, your role will be to focus on certain compliance monitoring functions and the oversight and direction investment management activities, ensuring the business is compliant with internal policies and procedures and also the terms of its obligations under regulatory adherence for UCITS structures and AIFMD.
Some of your day to day responsibilities will include;
Creating, delivering and maintaining an annual Compliance plan which targets the key areas of compliance risk in the business
Collaborate with senior management, non-executive directors, and designated persons to ensure an appropriately robust compliance framework is in place.
Preparing and presenting a quarterly Compliance Report to the Board and Risk Committee
Acting as MLRO for the management company, and Irish Investment Funds under management
Ensure all employees are aware of and understand their compliance responsibilities including board members.
Proactively identify situations that may pose significant compliance risk and provide guidance to management in the development or emergence of new legislation
Providing tailored training on Compliance matters where appropriate.
About You
You’ll be able to work to, and manage a varying workload within specified deadlines while maintaining a calm and professional manner. A deep understanding of UCITS and AIF regulatory requirements is essential.
Around 5+ years’ experience within a similar role is sought after, and qualifications in AML and/or Compliance would be highly regarded. |
