Accountancy Survey: Employment rebounds |

Employment in Ireland's top accountancy firms has risen. A like for like comparison amongst 15 firms shows that job numbers have increased by 5 per cent, from 8,198 in 2010 to 8,608 in 2011. Six out of the fifteen firms who responded to this section of the survey saw employment levels fall.
Of the remaining nine firms that grew their employment Ernst & Young were the stand out firm, increasing their employment numbers from 988 in 2010 to 1,250 in 2011, an increase of over 20 per cent.
Prospects for employement in the sector also look good as the recruitment intentions of the firms are strong with 1,696 set to be created an increase of 12.5 per cent in the level of recruitment recorded in 2010 |
