About my Client
My client, a long established Financial Services provider is currently seeking to create a new position of Legal Counsel within their Asset Management business. A company with an impressive heritage, excellent reputation for not only work/life balance, but also one with an extremely capable Executive Management team who have well defined plans for team and company growth in their small Dublin Office. Currently over $1 trillion in Assets under Management globally, with about $50 billion in AuM in Ireland.
About the Role
This is initially a stand alone position, with your line manager and Head of Legal based in London, and support staff based in Dublin.
You will be part of an international team of lawyers across EMEA and provide legal support to predominantly UCITs funds established in Ireland and elsewhere in Europe. You’ll provide review, drafting, negotiation and legal advice on distribution and investment management agreements. You’ll become the “go-to” person for advising business partners and stakeholders for legal queries, and be involved in strategic initiatives and project work in a changing regulatory landscape. |

| Required Skills: |
About You
You’ll have around 2-5 years post qualified experience as a internal or external legal counsel or lawyer, ideally from an Asset or Investment management background or Law Firm. You’ll have strong interpersonal skills and be passionate about what you do.
This role will really suit someone who is interested in autonomy, and someone who is interested in becoming the lead lawyer for the firm and key person in Europe for the Irish domiciled Fund range.
You’ll be an excellent communicator, comfortable in dealing with high level executives and translating key information to internal and external clients. |
