| Description: |
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Management Accountant to ensure financial best practices are carried out across the group and ensure stakeholders are provided with accurate and timely information
Responsibility for the day to day accounting requirements of the business including maintenance of the sales ledger and purchase ledger, nominal ledger, bank reconciliations, credit control
Support Client services teams with account and project level financial analysis including financial metrics, revenue recognition, invoicing, taxation requirements and other ad-hoc queries
Manage and prepare of tax and other regulatory submissions, such as VAT returns, ONS returns, payroll submissions, and other global tax requirements
Manage the month end process, ensuring timely close of all ledgers, intercompany reconciliations, month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations
Propose system refinements/improvements. Ensure processes are followed throughout the wider business and address any inefficiencies
Experience:
Competent knowledge of accruals, prepayments, depreciation, WIP and other accounting principles
An understanding of FRS102
Part- qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) management accountant with several years accounting experience
Competent knowledge of all UK taxation and statutory reporting requirements
Knowledge of SAGE
Excellent excel skills
Confidence to apply and uphold best practices
Proven organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills |
