About My Client
My client, a long established Global Leader in the provision of Financial Services and Custodial Banking is currently seeking to hire an experienced Compliance professional on a 12 month contract with potential for permanency within the group. They are company with an impressive heritage, excellent reputation for not only work/life balance, but also one with an extremely capable Executive Management team who have well defined plans for team and company growth.
About what you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer for EMEA (based in London) and matrix reporting into the Chief Executive (based locally), you will support the activities of one legal entity as Head of Compliance. The legal entity is a MiFID Authorised Trading Firm and a Custodian. Clients are non-retail investors, and therefore low-risk.
In the role you’ll be responsible for;
Advisory
Central Bank Liaison for Client Asset Requirements (CARRs)
Prepare risk based reviews of existing, new, and updated regulatory requirements and proposed legislation changes
Advising the internal audit group
Monitoring
Testing and validation of control processes
Contribute to corrective action if arising
Maintenance of breach log and operational risk events
Anti-Money Laundering
Performing the duties of MLRO
Further development of AML policies as necessary
Oversight of Financial Crime and KYC team
Regulatory Reporting
Overseeing regulatory returns to the Central Bank of Ireland
Query resolution with the regulatory
Oversight of client money calculations
About what you won’t be doing
People management. This is an individual contributor and while of course you’ll be expected to act as a senior partner befitting your experience, you will not be managing a team.
Creating a compliance framework. This is already very mature and embedded within the business.
About you
You’ll be able to work to, and manage a varying workload within specified deadlines while maintaining a calm and professional manner. Prior liaison with Financial Services regulatory bodies would be very helpful, as would around 8+ years Financial Services experience in Audit and/or Compliance.
A prior PCF15 approval would be very helpful. |
