Position Overview:
A challenging and exciting newly created role in a rapidly growing financial services industry, providing quantitative risk services to hedge funds based around the world. The team provides custom and regulatory risk reports that include exposure and P&L reports, limits monitoring, scenario analysis, stress testing, value-at-risk, liquidity, ESG and fund performance analytics. The role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with a wide range of securities, derivatives and structured products in many currencies that are traded by hedge funds on a global scale and to understand the hedge fund industry’s evolving risk management needs.
Your Role:
You will support the new business process:
Assist in the preparation of demos: maintain risk system and risk/market data and deliver proof of concept with sample investment portfolio
Prepare pitch books and maintain marketing literature
Onboard new mandates: functional project management lead; oversee and contribute to the design and implementation of the risk reporting process, customization, preparation of documentation for and training of client/BAU team prior to handover
Participate in regular client calls, working closely with global Client Integration team who oversees, and project manages the firm-wide onboarding process
You will contribute to product development (e.g., exploring/researching/bringing to market possible new revenue streams such as in response to emerging regulation)
You will be involved in maintenance, prototyping and user acceptance testing of internally developed valuation models and risk tools
You will contribute to cross functional training initiatives
You will support sales team administration such as production of revenue focused KPIs and billing
You will manage a team of analysts
About You:
You have 4-7 years’ experience in Financial Services, preferably with previous experience in a (pre-) sales/onboarding environment and of project, client relationship and staff management
You have a quantitative background with a Bachelor/higher level degree or professional qualification (PhD, MBA, MSc, CFA, CGA, CMA, CA, CPA, CQF, FIA)
You are proficient in Excel, VBA, SQL
Knowledge of pricing/valuing/risk managing OTC derivatives using both in-house models/financial libraries/risk systems and specialist vendors such as Bloomberg BVAL, SuperDerivatives and Markit is beneficial |
