| Description: |
My client is a is a global leader in fund services, corporate governance and related asset services with more than $1 trillion in assets under administration, they deliver end-to-end solutions and exceptional service to meet our clients’ needs.
The premier provider of custody services for investments in offshore hedge funds. The AVP Custody Manager is required to support the Head of Network Management in the implementation of the sub-custody delegate due diligence and monitoring program to ensure all due skill, care and diligence is exercised when safekeeping functions are delegated to a third party.
Your Role:
You will assist in the performance of annual due diligence reviews (remote and onsite) of each appointed third party sub-custody delegate and the preparation of a detailed risk assessment for each reviewed firm.
You will assess due diligence questionnaire responses provided by appointed third party firms to whom safekeeping of assets may be or have been delegated.
You will maintain an appropriate control environment to ensure the Depositary is fulfilling all regulatory obligations associated with the delegation of safekeeping to third party delegate.
You will assess each third party delegate’s financial strength, operational and technological capabilities, regulatory and legal framework within which the third party operates and any functions sub-delegated to other parties.
You will assist in the review of the custody risks and segregation criteria associated with the decision to entrust assets to a third party.
You will monitor the ongoing risk associated with each appointed delegate and assist in the implementation of a contingency strategy as required.
You will prepare ad hoc MIS and reporting for senior management as required.
You will assist in the preparation and maintenance of departmental procedures and controls to ensure a high level of investor protection.
You will promote awareness of and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
You will keep up-to-date with related business, technical and regulatory developments
About You:
You have a third level business/finance qualification and a minimum of 5 years fund services experience within the European funds industry
You have Depositary, prime brokerage and/or global custody services experience
You are an adaptable team player with a proactive approach to problem solving
You are an excellent communicator with high level of interpersonal effectiveness |
