About my Client
My client, a long established Financial Services provider is currently seeking to hire a General Counsel within their Fund Administration, ManCo & Depositary business. A company with an impressive heritage, excellent reputation for not only work/life balance, but also one with an extremely capable Executive Management team who have well defined plans for team and company growth.
About the Role
Reporting to the Global General Counsel (an ExCo & Board Member), you will be part of a small team in Dublin and the most senior member of the legal team in the region.
You will play a critical role in the provision legal support for the negotiation and settling of EU and domestic legislation, oversight of enterprise risk initiatives, governance, regulatory compliance etc.
You’ll provide review, drafting, negotiation and legal advice on fund documentation such as prospectuses, constitutional documentation, contracts, and other ancillary docs. You will also be responsible for the structuring of specialist alternative funds. You will advise business partners and stakeholders for legal queries, and be involved in strategic initiatives and project work in a changing regulatory landscape.
About You
You’ll have around 10+ years post qualified experience as an internal or external legal counsel or lawyer from an Asset or Investment Management background or Law Firm with Irish experience. You’ll have strong interpersonal skills and be passionate about what you do.
You’ll be an excellent communicator, comfortable in dealing with high level executives including outside counsel and translating complex information to senior executives in an understandable format. |
